Risk Calculation Methodology

Environmental Factors

Temperature affects mosquito development rates (optimal at 25-30°C). High humidity increases survival, while rainfall creates breeding habitats.

Vector Population Model

Uses Briere temperature-dependent development model and density-dependent mortality to simulate egg → larvae → pupae → adult lifecycle.

Transmission Risk

Ross-Macdonald epidemiological model calculates R₀ based on vector competence, biting rates, and infection probability — all temperature-dependent.
